Tratamiento no quirúrgico de la hernia umbilical congénita con doble parche autoadhesivo: Reporte de casos

Introducción: La hernia umbilical es una patología relativamente frecuente en la población pediátrica. No obstante, las investigaciones sobre su historia natural e indicaciones para el momento adecuado de su tratamiento quirúrgico aún son inconsistentes. Reporte de caso: Se presentan los casos de 2 pacientes lactantes con diagnóstico de hernia umbilical congénita que fueron tratados de forma conservadora con el doble parche reductor, logrando el cierre del defecto herniario en forma muy rápida, a los 21 y 24 días respectivamente. Conclusión: Esta novedosa técnica es sencilla, fácilmente reproducible, de muy bajo costo y, usada de forma continua, puede lograr la resolución completa de la hernia umbilical congénita en periodos muy cortos.
